Solid Waste Management

he institution has advanced solid waste management system“NOWASTE (Fuel Free General Solid waste management system)” on 27.04.2017 in the back side of the ladies hostel. Its model number is STNW 60. to reduce and eliminate adverse impact of waste materials to the human health and environment. The institution took all the precautionary measures to make the campus plastic free.Dust bins are placed on every classrooms and departments of every floor. Waste collected from all the floors are emptied into a compost pit and set burnt every evening.

We have maintained ‘The fuel free general solid waste management system’ or ‘No waste Management system’ for effective waste management by smouldering. Napkin incinerator is maintained in the ladies hostel to dispose the used napkins effectively.Waste collected from the college campus are again separated as degradable, non degradable and food wastes, which is then segregated in 3 separate dustbins located infront of the campus. The Food, Vegetable and Paper wastes are then dried in 6 steel tray in direct sunlight near the ladies hostel and then it is put in the nowaste equipment which was a no fuel burner.
