Biogas Plant

To conserve energy and to tap renewable energy, the college has installed a Bio Gas plant. Biodegradable wastes are recycled for production of gas, which is used for cooking purpose in the institution which in turn reduces the cooking expenditure. It consists of 3 cylinders, one large cylinder with capacity of 10 cubic meter and two small cylinders with 6 cubic meters each. One small cylinder is used in the canteen for commercial purpose.

Led Lights

Institution replaces incandescent bulbs by LED lights as an eco- friendly measure and is a source of best quality light. It is also the best energy conservation strategy, and helps to reduce the maintenance and replacement cost due to the long LED life span. Around 250 bulbs and tubes are in use.

Sensor Based Energy Conservation Device

Sophisticated sensors and timers are used in the institution to save electrical energy and reduce the manual efforts. Single sensor is placed along with the timer in the college campus. Lights/bulbs are connected to this sensor which conserves electricity and reduces man power thereby saves money expenditure .It can also overcome the manual error in switching on and off lights which enhance the safety.A single sensor (240V AC) is used which is connected with 3 bulbs in front of the campus also on the right and left side of the campus. It is a simple and powerful concept, which uses transistor as a switch to switch ON and OFF the light system automatically. The LDR( Light Dependent Resistor ) and Transistor is used in this sensor. It gives high resistance in dark or night and low resistance in day or light.

Solar Panel

Our institution as an eco friendly campus has installed a Battery mounted solar power plant has been installed on 19.01.2019 from BRG Technologies Pvt.Ltd. in the college terrace. The panel make and model is “Vikram Solar Panel ELDORA(325W, 24 V). There are 16 number of panels with a capacity of 5200W. The panel modules are polycrystalline type. The solar panel is been connected with 8 no of batteries of Luminous Solar Battery 150 aAH/12V Tall Tubular C-10 then to the Luminous single phase PCU NXT 6000W/96V MPPT having a capacity of 6000W. The Maximum PV power of the inverter is about 6.6/KW. The AC Energy then flows through the electrical panel and is distributed accordingly. The solar panel installed helps in saving electricity utilization of the institution.
