The Central Research Laboratory with separate rooms for inoculation, sterilization and reagents are situated in the second floor of the college building. The lab is about 69.85sqm and is built to cater to research needs of graduate and postgraduate students and also faculties from all the departments of the Institution.It is equipped with sophisticated equipments such as UV visible spectrometer,Laminar air flow,Elisa Reader,Soxhlet apparatus etc.
The Pharmacy department of the institution maintains a herbal garden with 110 medicinal plants including endangered and rare species labelled and organized clearly.The objective of establishing this garden is to expose our students to maximum common and rare genuine medicinal plants species which gives comprehensive knowledge of identification of various medicinal plants and for research.
Research section in central library remains as a wealth of research information and tools available to help the researchers.
The Pharamacognosy lab maintained by Pharmacy department is fully dedicated for advanced research studies and provide expertise to students in the field of isolation and separation of chemicals from the plants. This lab is also involved in the biological screening of the plant materials by in-vivo and in-vitro methods.The lab is well equipped with instruments like Column chromatography unit, Thin layer chromatography unit, melting point apparatus, double distillation apparatus etc.
The institution has a dedicated Research facilitation center including the institutional ethical committee to facilitate faculty members, PG scholars Ph.D. scholars, and studentsin pursuing their research aspirations.The center serves as a coordinating body for internal and external funded research projects. It also conducts workshops, faculty development programs and guest lectures by experts to update the faculty members on recent trends, and also encourages and supports students and faculty members to conduct research activities.
