Medical science is a dynamic field; newer techniques are added every day, treatment protocols are updated regularly, reference diagnostic values change over a period of time.Analytical thinking of Clinical Cases is observing and researching a problem or topic to develop more complex ideas about it. Clinical Cases analytical thinking should result in additional knowledge, solutions or ideas related to the problem or topic. The process usually involves several steps:

  • Identifying a topic, problem or issue
  • Gathering information
  • Developing solutions or furthering understanding of the topic
  • Testing solutions or new ideas based on what learned
  • Post-analysis, or reviewing what solutions worked, or assessing your new knowledge

A key element to Clinical Cases Skill Developmentis the ability to quickly identify cause and effect relationships.Most analytical thinking requires trial and error. Those with strong analytical thinking skills are often capable of quickly analyzing a situation, topic or problem, and often work well in a team setting to accomplish goals.

As medical teachers, we can start building up student’s critical thinking skill by contingent teaching-learning environment wherein one should encourage reasoning and analytics, problem solving abilities and welcome new ideas and opinions. But at the same time, one should continue rather tapering the critical skills as one ascends towards a specialty, thereby targeting ‘domain-specific’ critical thinking.

Clinical Cases Skill Developmentare important because it allows a person to find solutions to common problems and make decisions about what actions to take next. Understanding problems and analyzing the situation for viable solutions is a key skill for a doctor at every level.

The Clinical Cases Skill Developmentprograms are coordinated by student’s progression and support committee, shall function under the guidance, control and supervision of the head of the institution. Function of the Clinical Cases Skill Developmentis to support the students in the development of develop Clinical skills to face the rigors of competition existing in the Homoeopathic Field.
