Candidate should be a citizen of India
i. The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of fifty per cent marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination mentioned above for unreserved candidates and forty per cent marks in respect of the Scheduled Castes, scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes;
ii. Candidate with benchmark disabilities as specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the minimum qualifying marks in qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be forty-five per cent for the general category and forty per cent for the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes;
No candidate shall be admitted to B.H.M.S. Degree Course unless he has attained the age of seventeen years on or before the 31st December of the year of this admission in the first year of the course and not older than the age of twenty-five years on or before the 31st December of the year of admission in the first year of the course: Provided that the upper age limit may be relaxed by five years to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other backward Classes and physically handicapped candidates
a) A Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery or an equivalent qualification in Homoeopathy included in the Second Schedule to the HCC Act, after undergoing a course of study of not less than five years and six month’s duration including one year compulsory internship
b) Qualification in AIAPGET(Hom)
Registration with Council of Homoeopathy.
Candidate who have passed BHMS degree course from other than the Tamil Nadu Dr, M.G.R. Medical University before seeking admission to Post Graduate MD(Hom.) course in any of the affiliated institutions shall obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy, Chennai – 600032
Application & Admission Process
The admissions to the BHMS and M.D.(Hom.) Courses are conducted by the Selection committee, Directorate of Indian medicine and Homoeopathy, Arumbakkam Chennai by single window counseling as per the provisions of the Government of Tamilnadu based on NEET(UG) and AIAPGET(PG)
The aspirants are requested to apply for Government seats and management seats separately to Selection committee, Directorate of Indian medicine and Homoeopathy on notification of the same in the website www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in
All India quota seats are also to be applied to Selection committee, Directorate of Indian medicine and Homoeopathy, Chennai.
