Yoga- the word meaning stands for the union with the divine. According to Patanjali’s Ashtanga yoga which comprises of eight steps:Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi. Here, we take up the seventh step of the Ashtanga yoga ie., Meditation for inculcating spiritual values among the students of Sarada Krishna Homoeopathic Medical College as a part of the Student Support and Progression Programme. The training for meditation is done under the Heartfulness Institute in the college campus.

About Heartfulness

Heartfulness is a simple modern methodological approach to Meditation. Meditation is often defined as thinking about one thing continuously. It reveals the true nature of the object upon which we are meditating. It is a journey from the complexity of the mind to the simplicity of the heart. ‘Transmission’ or ‘Pranahuti’ is the speciality of Heartfulness Meditation. Transmission removes the inner complexities or knots in our energy field so that the spiritual centres or chakras are cleaned and illuminated. Transmission removes the obstacles on the journey to the Source and makes meditation truly dynamic.
